Hi, I’m Dana.

I believe at the core of each of us is a compassionate and creative Self with innate wisdom of what we need for wellness. But just as harm doesn’t happen alone, neither does healing. I utilize the therapeutic relationship as a space to support clients in deepening their relationship to Self as a source of security as we explore grief, identity, anxiety, sex and relationships, life changes, and spirituality. I also support clients in identifying how systems of oppression—including colonialism, patriarchy, racism, cisheterosexism, ableism, classism, ageism and structural fatphobia—have influenced their stories and experiences.

Clients of all identities are welcome, and I am Kink, Poly and Neurodivergent affirming.

My journey to becoming a counselor has been deeply informed by my own lifepath navigating relationships, communities and systems as a white, queer, able-bodied, transmasculine human. I bring a warm, curious and attuned presence into the counseling room.

I am trauma-informed and respect the wisdom of the body. I draw on IFS, Somatic Experiencing, attachment, existential and Gestalt theories. I aim to practice cultural humility and honor multiculturalism throughout my work.

Dana is a current masters-level student intern under the supervision of Justin Little, LMFT.

Dana currently sees clients online throughout Oregon and in person in Sisters, Oregon.

Approach:

Individual Therapy is when a  therapist helps one singular person through different areas of concern. Typically to address personal, professional, emotional, and psychological concerns.

Couples Therapy is when all partners in a committed relationship are treated at the same time by the same therapist. Typically to improve communication and build a stronger bond.

Areas of Specialty:

Identity concerns often show up as a felt sense of not knowing who you are, what you value, or where you belong — sometimes emerging after a major life change, loss, or the slow realization that the version of yourself you've been presenting to the world doesn't feel authentic or your own.

Anxiety is the mind and body's threat-response system misfiring in the absence of actual danger — producing fear, worry, and physical symptoms that are meant to protect us but instead interfere with daily functioning.

Relationship concerns are addressed by identifying the underlying patterns and attachment wounds driving relational difficulties, and building the self-awareness and skills needed for healthier connection.
