Hi, I’m Hamp.

As a trauma-informed counselor, I believe that each person possesses an innate capacity for healing and wisdom, guided by a compassionate and creative Self. My approach is rooted in the understanding that because many of our wounds occur in relationship, meaningful healing happens through relationship as well. I offer a warm, collaborative, and grounding therapeutic space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, connect with their authentic selves, and move at a pace that feels right for them from the very first session.

I work with folks—including adults, teens, couples, and families—navigating life’s challenges: trauma, grief and loss, substance misuse, identity exploration, sex and relationships, life transitions, spirituality, and other issues shaped by conditional love, rejection, and/or systemic oppression. Together, my clients and I explore how structural forces, family systems, and other relational factors have influenced their stories, beliefs, and personal values while also fostering greater self-compassion, resilience, and connection.

My practice draws from a background in wilderness therapy and incorporates Restoration Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic experiencing, mindfulness, attachment theory, existential thinking, and other person-centered perspectives that honor the wisdom of the nervous system and allow clients to make their own meaning out of life. I bring a curious and attuned presence to the counseling relationship and aim to practice cultural humility while honoring my clients' unique lived experiences and truths. I value autonomy, feedback, authenticity, and even humor as essential ingredients for meaningful change.

Clients of all identities are celebrated and welcome. I am affirming of 2SLGBTQ+ identities, kink, polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and neurodivergence. As a member of the queer community myself, my role is not to tell you who to be, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, deepen your relationship with yourself, and move toward the life you want to live.

Hamp is a current masters-level student intern under the supervision of Justin Little, LMFT.

Hamp currently sees clients online throughout Oregon and in-person in Bend, OR and Sisters, OR.

Approach:

Teens, Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy

Individual Therapy is when a  therapist helps one singular person through different areas of concern. Typically to address personal, professional, emotional, and psychological concerns.

Couples Therapy is when all partners in a committed relationship are treated at the same time by the same therapist. Typically to improve communication and build a stronger bond.

Family Therapy is when all members of a family involved in the conflict are treated at the same time by the same therapist. Typically to improve communication and strengthen the family unit.

Areas of Specialty:

Trauma is the lasting disruption to the nervous system caused by experiences that overwhelmed a person's ability to cope — like fight, flight, or freeze — that continue to affect emotions, relationships, and behavior long after the event is over.

Grief and loss is the natural but often complex response to losing someone or something significant — and in therapy, the goal isn't to "get over it" but to help a person process the full range of emotions and integrate the loss into a continuing life.

Identity exploration is the process of examining and clarifying who you are — your values, culture, gender, sexuality, and beliefs — especially when life transitions or early conditioning have disconnected you from an authentic sense of self.
